I thought it might be helpful to those brides and grooms out there
who are looking for a photographer to give you a bit of advice to
help you.
You may have had a recommendation from someone, which is great, but make sure you still meet them face to face. I would say the most important thing is that you “click” with your photographer, that you feel comfortable with them. This will help you relax when they are taking the photos and will enable the photographer to get the best shots of your big day. This may be me, it may not be me but it is the most important single piece of advice I can give you.
It is advisable to look at the potential photographer’s work and make sure that you like how they approach a wedding and their style of photography.
I would advise that you are clear what parts of the day you want covering and ask the potential photographer’s what else they can offer. Do you want photos of you getting ready? Do you want images of the groom and groomsmen getting ready? A lot of photographers will cover up until the first dance so if you want the whole evening covering make sure you ask or clarify in your requirements.
Be clear about your budget and please remember your photos will remain long after the cake has been eaten so it is worth ensuring you get the best photographer you can afford.
I would be very happy to meet with you to discuss your requirements for your big day. If after our discussions you feel the need to consult with another photographer I may be able to advise you of one for your consideration.
If you would like to discuss your wedding plans with me, please do not hesitate to contact me on 07763 610055 and I will be happy to arrange to meet with you to chat over coffee and cake. The cake’s on me.
